About the position

As a Senior Sales Operations Analyst at Deltek, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales operations processes. Your primary responsibilities will include owning and executing various sales operations processes such as sales territory maintenance, leads management, account management, and sales territory dispute resolution. You will proactively document standard operating procedures and make recommendations to address root causes, eliminate friction, and improve overall processes. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our sales operations align with business objectives. In this role, you will manage rule-based account assignment systems to ensure timely and accurate sales account team assignments. You will also be responsible for researching company hierarchies for parent-child relationships among strategic, enterprise, and targeted prospect accounts, maintaining these relationships in Salesforce to ensure accurate reporting and territory assignments. Your expertise in Salesforce will be essential as you develop and maintain both standard and ad hoc reports for the sales team using tools such as Salesforce.com, Excel, Cognos, QlikView/QlikSense, and Power BI. Maintaining positive work relationships with the user community and process participants is vital, as you will ensure compliance with cross-functional team responsibilities. You will collaborate directly with the sales operations team, the sales team, and other cross-functional teams to define and deliver reporting and analysis that meets our business objectives. Responsibilities

  • Own & execute sales operations processes as assigned, including sales territory maintenance, leads management, account management, and sales territory dispute resolution.
  • Proactively document standard operating procedures and make recommendations to fix root cause, eliminate friction, and improve processes.
  • Manage rule-based account assignment systems to ensure that sales account team assignments are timely and correct.
  • Research company hierarchy for parent-child relationships for strategic, enterprise, and targeted prospect accounts and maintain these relationships in Salesforce.
  • Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports for the sales team in Salesforce.com, Excel, Cognos, QlikView/QlikSense, and Power BI.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced Salesforce knowledge, including territory and account assignment rules, reporting and dashboard building, and bulk uploads.
  • Expertise in Enterprise account delineation/definition.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel preferred.
  • Experience in Power BI, Qlik, or other BI Tools preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with experience working with and presenting to senior management.
  • Highly analytical and curious in solving business challenges.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency to attain and exceed desired results.
  • Operates in a cooperative and collaborative spirit to achieve shared goals across multiple functions.
  • Ability to articulate needs for process improvements.
