About the position

The Sr Sales Representative for Marine Gauging and Instrumentation is responsible for driving sales and fostering client satisfaction in the marine industry. This remote role involves maintaining customer relationships, providing technical education on Honeywell products, and generating new business opportunities. The representative will also analyze market trends, provide competitive intelligence, and contribute to sales forecasting while collaborating with various teams to enhance customer engagement and sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by identifying and generating opportunities for various customers.
  • Maintain regular customer contact and manage customer expectations to foster satisfaction.
  • Develop customer relationships through trade shows, seminars, and similar events.
  • Provide education on Honeywell products through technical presentations.
  • Maintain and report opportunity status using the customer relationship management system.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and analyze market trends.
  • Contribute to sales forecasting and demand input for Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP).
  • Responsible for Order, Revenue, and Margin AOP for Marine Business in AMER.
  • Grow win rate and market share for new builds, driving price premium with shipowners.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and leadership to establish strategies and improve customer relationships.
  • Guide the order management team in creating competitive quotations.
  • Gain technical expertise on the marine portfolio to establish credibility with stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation in offerings and products through market understanding and product insights.
  • Support marketing efforts to position Honeywell Marine offerings against competitors.
  • Engage in business development activities with shipowners and shipyards.
  • Maintain strong Management Operating System with channel partners to drive performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the Marine industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the Marine tank gauging/instrumentation market with a business management mindset.
