About the position
The Sr. SAP Business Intelligence Developer at AbbVie plays a crucial role in the digital transformation of the company by designing and delivering SAP-centric analytic solutions. This position focuses on enhancing AbbVie's analytics capabilities through the implementation of reporting analytics solutions that manage data integrity and integrate data from various sources into a global SAP BW/4HANA reporting platform. The role requires collaboration with solution architects and technical teams, effective communication with stakeholders, and the ability to mentor and supervise team members.
Responsibilities
- Conceive, design, engineer, and implement SAP data warehouse software and technology solutions.
- Study information needs and confer with users to understand systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Investigate problem areas and resolve key project hurdles using technical expertise.
- Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of SAP BW and Native HANA technologies.
- Utilize knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare business to develop agile and impactful solutions.
- Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders through verbal and written means.
- Mature and leverage relationships with affiliates, vendors, and industry peers.
- Mentor and supervise a team, guiding and evaluating their performance.
- Adhere to corporate standards regarding policies, safety, compliance, and the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 7 years experience; Master's Degree with 6 years experience; PhD with 2 years experience.
- Proven track record in developing complex end-to-end SAP HANA BW/BI enterprise solutions in global organizations.
- Hands-on experience in SAP HANA Data Modeling techniques and HANA Studio using Calculation View, Flow Graph, Table Function.
- Experience with data visualization in SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Demonstrated understanding of core business processes in Finance, Supply Chain, and Order to Cash areas.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- General understanding and technical expertise of SAP SLT/SDI, enterprise-class ETL and middleware tools.
- Experience in Agile BI development.
- SAP HANA Certification is a plus.
- SAP Analytics Cloud planning or BPC experience is a plus.
