About the position

As a Senior SAP Cybersecurity Engineer at Apple, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity and security of our SAP environment. This position is part of the Information Systems & Technology team, where you will be responsible for three core departmental functions: ERP-Centric Threat Prevention & Detection, Incident Response, and Digital Forensics. Your expertise in ERP processes and Information Security principles will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of cybersecurity within our enterprise systems. In this role, you will identify, research, and monitor significant events within the SAP environment, often tackling complex issues independently or serving as an escalation point. You will be tasked with researching, documenting, and reporting on security vulnerabilities and emerging threats, analyzing software, hardware, and processes to develop appropriate risk response strategies. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be essential as you document and share security information, fostering collaboration and support for security enhancements across the organization. Collaboration is key in this position; you will work closely with teams such as DevOps, Basis, Information Security, and Internal Audit to manage the risk profile of SAP data at Apple. You will also be responsible for building, testing, implementing, and validating upgrades to security management infrastructure components. Additionally, you will perform various other cybersecurity tasks and responsibilities as assigned, driving innovation by analyzing and interpreting data to inform new initiatives or approaches. Your accountability for the successful completion of multiple individual projects will be a testament to your leadership capabilities in ERP security.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and monitor notable events within the SAP environment.
  • Address complicated security events independently or as a tier of escalation.
  • Research, document, and report on security issues and emerging threats.
  • Analyze software, hardware, and processes to engineer appropriate risk response activities.
  • Document and share security information with various partners to build rapport and support for security improvements.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Basis, Information Security, Internal Audit, and other teams to manage the risk profile of SAP data.
  • Build, test, implement, and validate upgrades to security management infrastructure components.
  • Perform various other cybersecurity tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Drive innovation by analyzing and interpreting data to test and advise on new initiatives or approaches.
  • Accountable for the successful completion of multiple individual projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Management of Information Systems.
  • 5 years of Information Security Experience overall.
  • 3 years of SAP Technical Experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • GCIA, GCUX, GCIH, GREM, CFE, or other related certifications.
  • Knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP ECC, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, and other SAP services from both a Technical and Business Process perspective.
