About the position

The Sr SAP FICO Product Manager for Project Kuiper Finance at Amazon is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects related to the SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) module. This role involves overseeing the design, deployment, and integration of SAP systems to support the initiative aimed at increasing global broadband access through a satellite constellation. The ideal candidate will possess both functional and technical expertise in SAP, enabling them to navigate complex business processes and implement effective solutions in a start-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of projects related to SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) module from design to deployment including integration with Amazon Corporate systems.
• Build deployment project plans and manage risks impacting successful delivery.
• Develop use cases by gathering business requirements, work with software development to build required features, clearly communicate dependencies and manage/track exceptions.
• Participate and build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure proposed solution can meet business requirements using SAP S/4.
• Active participation in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training.
• Apply strong knowledge of the business processes for designing, developing, and testing SAP S/4 HANA ERP functionality, which includes expertise in general ledger, accounts payable, project system, cost center accounting, product cost controlling and profit center accounting.
• Configure SAP S/4 HANA FICO to meet business requirements, including connection points with PP, MM, PS, & SD and other modules and implementation of SAP best practices.
• Navigate through a large amount of ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrate crisp communication skills, communicate project status to a broad audience and follow appropriate escalation channels to ensure delivery as planned.
• Expertise and in-depth knowledge of Make-to-Order & Order-to-Cash processes.
• Experience with SAP Material Actual Costing and Project Billing systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, computer science or equivalent.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• 5+ years' experience working as a functional lead with SAP S4 HANA FICO modules (GL, AP, AR & Costing).
• 5+ years' experience in configuring SAP S/4 HANA FICO to meet business requirements, including integrations with PP, MM, SD, and other modules.
• 5+ years of experience in finance, supply chain, consulting or operations role with proven experience in leading process and systems transformation initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in building and driving solutions in S4 HANA FICO modules.
