About the position

The Senior Scientist in the Department of Breast Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is responsible for overseeing and managing data analysis and management related to cohort and translational studies. This role focuses on creating a cohesive data analytic platform to support research efforts, collaborating with faculty investigators, programmers, and biostatisticians to generate robust datasets and maintain quality assurance processes. The position also involves mentoring junior team members and ensuring effective coordination with various research activities within the department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage data analysis and management for cohort and translational studies.
• Create and maintain a cohesive data analytic platform to support research efforts.
• Collaborate with faculty investigators and biostatisticians to execute analytic plans and generate datasets.
• Facilitate data-related queries and maintain standard data management processes.
• Supervise the Senior Research Project Manager of Data Management and Analysis and her team.
• Provide training and mentoring on study design and statistical analysis to junior team members.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in biostatistics, outcomes research, epidemiology, or a related discipline.
• Relevant real-world data and/or observational research experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and management skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
