About the position

The Sr. Scientist in Process Engineering Automation is responsible for leading the identification and procurement of lab automation solutions to enhance drug product development. This role involves coordinating work packages, participating in project meetings, and advancing scientific understanding in automation. The position requires adherence to safety and quality standards while maintaining compliance in health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and procurement of lab automation solutions for drug product development.
• Coordinate timely execution of work packages involving Analytical, Statistics, and Sterile formulations.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to lab automation efforts.
• Advance scientific understanding and improve automation practices in drug product development.
• Deliver work adhering to safety and quality expectations, complying with customer policies and procedures.
• Maintain training and compliance in health and safety, security, and environmental aspects.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, mechanical engineering, or any engineering field.
• Master's degree in relevant fields with 3-5 years of experience in protein formulation and drug delivery development.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields with 5-7 years of experience in protein formulation and drug delivery development.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with scoping automation and developing automated workflows.
• Experience with liquid handlers such as Hamilton and Tecan.
• Experience scoping, creating URS with SME input, and procuring equipment/instruments.
• Experience with data automation and data engineering principles.
• Proven ability to lead collaboratively in a matrix style environment.
• Knowledge and experience applying data integrity principles.

• Annual compensation range of $71,240.00 to $106,600.00 based on qualifications and experience.
