About the position
The Sr Scrum Master position is focused on leading Agile project management within the banking and financial services sector. The role requires extensive experience in managing complex projects in regulated environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards while fostering Agile methodologies among teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices and principles to enhance team performance.
- Identify and resolve impediments that may hinder the team's progress.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices in project execution.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in project management and Agile/Scrum roles.
- At least 3 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Expertise in using Jira for project and Agile team management.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Agile transformation initiatives within large organizations.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management practices.
- Familiarity with additional project management tools and methodologies.
