About the position

As a Senior Scrum Master at KMM Technologies, you will lead multiple cross-functional teams or Agile Release Trains (ARTs), guiding them in the application of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Lean practices. Your role will involve fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth, ensuring that teams develop an agile mindset and achieve agile maturity. You will be responsible for removing blockers, partnering with leadership, and utilizing metrics to track progress and success. Your leadership will be characterized by the behaviors of a Lean-Agile Leader, promoting a Lean-Agile mindset across teams and the organization. In this position, you will facilitate various team meetings, including Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, and Retrospectives, as well as ART-level ceremonies such as PI Planning and Scrum of Scrums. You will help teams focus on their goals within the context of the current Program Increment (PI) or Release Objectives, driving relentless improvement in quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. Your expertise will be crucial in teaching problem-solving techniques and ensuring adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD) and other working agreements. Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing communication and relationships between teams, coordinating work to improve flow and throughput. You will represent your teams in program-level ceremonies and support Product Owners in managing backlogs while maintaining a healthy team dynamic. Your ability to eliminate impediments by engaging stakeholders will be vital in achieving the objectives of each Iteration or PI. As a Lean-Agile Leader, you will also lead initiatives to improve business agility and drive cultural change within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple cross-functional teams or Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in the application of Agile methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and agile maturity within teams.
  • Facilitate team meetings such as Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, and Retrospectives.
  • Support teams in achieving their goals within the context of the current Program Increment (PI).
  • Drive relentless improvement in quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
  • Teach problem-solving techniques to enhance team capabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD) and other working agreements.
  • Coordinate work with other teams to improve flow and throughput.
  • Represent teams in program-level ceremonies and support Product Owners in backlog management.
  • Engage stakeholders to eliminate impediments and improve transparency.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Lean and Agile methodologies, including 5+ years as a Scrum Master or Kanban lead.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven success in leading multiple Agile teams to maturity and improved customer outcomes.
  • Expertise in JIRA and JIRA Align; Facets experience preferred.
  • Experience as a Product Owner preferred.
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSP), Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer, and Certified Scrum Professional.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a Scrum Master on a SAFe Agile Release Train.
  • Experience in leading change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of value stream mapping and system-level optimizations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Expertise in scaling frameworks like SAFe.
  • Ability to organize data and create metrics/reports/dashboards.
