About the position

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban, to support our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of infrastructure operations and a proven track record of facilitating agile practices, enabling the team to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring that the team adheres to Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. The Scrum Master will work closely with the infrastructure team to identify and remove impediments, facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and ensure that the team is focused on delivering value to the organization. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coaching team members on Agile practices and principles, helping them to grow and develop in their roles. Additionally, the Scrum Master will serve as a liaison between the infrastructure team and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices and principles, particularly Kanban.
• Work closely with the infrastructure team to identify and remove impediments to progress.
• Ensure that the team is focused on delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions efficiently.
• Translate technical language to non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project goals.
• Utilize Agile tools like Jira or Trello to manage and track project progress.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 3 years in an infrastructure or IT operations environment.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Kanban and other Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with infrastructure teams on projects involving cloud, networking, servers, storage, and/or data centers.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts and the ability to translate technical language to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Agile tools like Jira, Trello, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• Certified Kanban Management Professional (KMP) or equivalent certification.
