About the position

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Automation Tester to join their Quality Engineering and Assurance (QEA) practice. This role involves automating web and mobile applications, providing automation expertise, and working in an Agile environment. The position is permanent and offers an opportunity to work with a leading global quality assurance practice servicing numerous clients, including Fortune 100 companies.

Responsibilities

• Automate web applications using Selenium and BDD Cucumber with Java
• Automate mobile applications using Appium with Java
• Work in an Agile environment as SDET with JIRA and Confluence pages
• Complete automation test scripts through local, Jenkins, or Cloud services
• Fix automation scripts through good debugging skills
• Provide automation expertise, training, and mentoring to team members
• Keep current with advances in automation methodologies and tools
• Work on multiple projects and handle a multifaceted working environment.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience as an Automation Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience in Selenium, BDD, Cucumber & Java automation frameworks
• Strong understanding of Agile processes and experience with JIRA/Confluence
• Proven understanding of API automation
• Experience with GitHub, version control, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools
• Experience with API testing tools such as POSTMAN
• Good to have AccelqQ Automation experience.
