About the position

The Senior Search AI/ML Scientist at Datasite is responsible for developing and deploying advanced Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions to enhance the company's M&A platform. This role focuses on creating intelligent features that improve efficiency in high-stakes workflows, ensuring customer trust while leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as LLMs, Generative AI, Semantic Search, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and offers high visibility to the executive team, influencing the strategic direction of the company.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI solutions that enhance document review, organization, and Q&A processes.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to define solution requirements and timelines.
• Develop new AI models and algorithms for foundational products at Datasite.
• Optimize existing AI models for improved performance.
• Build, validate, and deploy solutions that meet high standards of accuracy and reliability.
• Work with Engineering and MLOps to ensure successful deployment and ongoing production monitoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building AI solutions with Python.
• 2+ years of experience building solutions with a Semantic Search component.
• Experience building RAG-based solutions.
• Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience improving Semantic Search results using techniques like re-ranker models and the HyDE methodology.
• Experience deploying AI/ML applications on large-scale unstructured text data using Deep Learning, Transformers, and LLMs.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI solutions.
