About the position

The Sr. ServiceNow Developer at Capgemini is responsible for designing, configuring, and scripting technical solutions on the ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM) platform. This role involves collaborating with the Platform Architect to refine requirements and ensure successful deployments for external customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ServiceNow development and a strong background in scripting languages such as Java and HTML.

Responsibilities

  • Design and configure ServiceNow CSM solutions for successful customer deployments.
  • Collaborate with the Platform Architect to refine platform requirements and complete development tasks.
  • Implement and configure a range of ServiceNow applications including CSM, ITSM, ITOM, HR, SecOps, GRC, and Employee Center.
  • Develop ServiceNow tables, fields, forms, and access controls.
  • Create business rules, ACLs, client scripts, UI policies, UI macros, and catalog forms.
  • Use JavaScript to develop solutions for requirements that cannot be satisfied through configuration.
  • Troubleshoot and repair common configuration issues on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Create scoped applications using Studio and automate activities using Flow Designer and Workflow Engine.
  • Build data sets and transform maps for importing data from external sources into ServiceNow.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using JDBC, REST, SOAP, and Integration Hub.
  • Document all technical work for knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT-related experience.
  • CSA Certification required.
  • Experience in implementing and configuring ServiceNow applications.
  • Solid understanding of creating business rules, ACLs, client scripts, and UI policies.
  • Deep technical knowledge of integrating ServiceNow with external systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification is a plus.
  • External client consulting experience highly preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously.
