About the position

The Sr. Services Analyst - IT (Site IT Lead) position at Constellation is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the IT services at the Byron Clean Energy Center. As the Site IT Lead, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the site IT department, interfacing directly with IT leadership to ensure seamless operations and effective communication. This role involves managing and executing activities related to the planning, design, building, and maintenance of IT services, projects, portfolios, products, and processes. You will be expected to create and assign detailed tasks to subordinates, ensuring that all activities align with the company's strategic objectives and operational standards. Additionally, you will hold budget responsibilities for small projects or components, working under minimal supervision to achieve project goals. In this role, you will perform and document work activities related to IT service portfolios or products, supporting business partners effectively. You will lead IT activities necessary for managing service level agreements and assist in planning and prioritizing work schedules. Your responsibilities will also include creating documentation for products and services, utilizing best practices to enhance the quality of offerings to business unit partners, and monitoring adherence to established standards within the team. Maintaining and enhancing engagement with business and IT partners, as well as other stakeholders, will be crucial to fostering a collaborative environment. As a leader, you will establish a positive team atmosphere by proactively assisting and training less experienced personnel, providing performance and development feedback as necessary. It is essential to maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within your discipline to effectively contribute to the team's success and the organization's mission of providing clean, carbon-free energy.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the site IT department and interface with IT leadership.
  • Perform, manage, and document work activities related to IT service portfolios or products.
  • Lead IT activities required to manage service level agreements.
  • Assist in planning and prioritizing work schedules for the team.
  • Create documentation for products and services, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners and stakeholders.
  • Establish a positive team environment by assisting and training less experienced personnel.
  • Provide performance and development feedback as required.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within the IT discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proficiency with data analysis in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience leading small IT projects or sub-teams.
  • Knowledge of IT project management principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with remote project teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements.
  • Technical expertise to plan, design, build, or support required initiatives.
  • Experience with MS Office, Active Directory, and Service.
  • 4+ years of Nuclear Plant IT experience.
  • Ability to provide on-call support after normal business hours.
