About the position

As a Principal Signal Integrity Engineer at TE Connectivity, you will be responsible for the electrical design, simulation, and verification-validation testing of high-speed products in the connector and cable assembly industry. This role focuses on enhancing connectivity within data centers and wireless infrastructure, requiring independent project work in signal integrity, modeling, simulation, testing, and circuit board layout. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and serve as the subject matter expert throughout the product development cycle, from initial analysis to production verification testing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in signal integrity design, simulation, and validation activities throughout product development cycles.
  • Establish signal integrity design performance and functional requirements for new products.
  • Perform signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards on each product, determining the correct simulation methodology and setup.
  • Conduct PCB design schematic and layout reviews, creating actionable recommendations based on design reviews and simulation results.
  • Guide connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint.
  • Make data-driven decisions regarding product functionality and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in determining objectives and approaches to assignments, working under general direction and exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and peers, and may coach and train other employees.
