About the position

The Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of systems in a cloud environment, specifically Azure. This position requires expertise in various technologies including No-SQL databases, Kubernetes, and Kafka, and emphasizes monitoring and deployment practices. The role is office-based in Seattle, requiring in-person attendance three days a week, and is expected to last for 10-12 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability and performance of systems in a cloud environment.
• Monitor and deploy applications using Azure Cloud and AKS.
• Manage and troubleshoot No-SQL databases including Cassandra, Mongo, and PostGres.
• Utilize Databricks Notebooks for data processing and query execution.
• Implement and manage Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Expertly handle Kafka for messaging and data streaming.
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code and automation.
• Emphasize logging and monitoring using tools like Datadog and Splunk.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Azure Cloud and AKS.
• Expertise in Databricks Notebooks.
• Strong knowledge of No-SQL databases such as Cassandra, Mongo, and PostGres.
• Expertise in Kubernetes for container management.
• Advanced skills in Kafka for data streaming.
• Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Strong scripting skills in Python.
