About the position
Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to support critical Visa Data Interface and analytical applications and ensure the stability of the applications. The role involves performing proactive maintenance activities, engaging in automation activities, and conducting root cause analysis and remediation. Responsibilities include writing and maintaining scripts to monitor system functionality and performance, applying code and operation break fixes, evaluating issues reported by Visa clients, and providing ongoing solutions. The position also requires performance tuning of applications and executing decisive actions to preserve service availability, performance, integrity, capacity, and security. Participation in root cause analysis for service failures and managing tickets while maintaining SLA and OLA is also expected. This position reports to the Austin, TX office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Responsibilities
- Support critical Visa Data Interface and analytical applications.

Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer-related occupation.
- Knowledge of incident, change, and problem management, as well as escalation procedures.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux.
- Familiarity with ITIL, ServiceNow, and ticketing workflows.
- Java and Linux application support and DB concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience in production support and working in a globally distributed team.
- Knowledge of containers and microservice architecture.
- Understanding of SDLC.
- Experience with builds, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
