About the position

As a member of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you will play a crucial role in supporting scientific operations by managing stockroom duties and providing exceptional customer service. This position focuses on inventory management, sourcing, and laboratory support services, contributing to the efficiency of research operations and supply chains. You will work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes safety and compliance while helping to make a real-world impact in areas such as healthcare and environmental protection.

Responsibilities

  • Make on-site program replenishments and disbursements.
  • Perform stockroom duties, including receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.
  • Accurately scan customer purchases.
  • Follow well-defined Best Practices, SOP & work instructions.
  • Take direction from the Manager regarding daily duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Process customer orders efficiently, ensuring researchers get the necessary chemicals on time.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and organized chemical stock within the store.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 0-1 year of experience in a lab setting, service environment, or logistics operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and basic skills in Microsoft Office suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hazardous materials handling.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
