About the position

The Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and managing data pipelines to support the ETL process, ensuring efficient data integration and reporting capabilities within the Snowflake data model. This role requires extensive experience in data engineering, particularly with Snowflake, and involves collaboration with data architects and other team members to optimize data structures and processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage data pipelines for the ETL process using Airflow and Python.
• Implement and maintain data synchronization between on-premises Oracle databases and Snowflake using CDC tools.
• Assist in developing and optimizing the data model for Snowflake to support analytics and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with data architect to ensure data within Snowflake is structured for efficient reporting.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a data engineer, with at least 5 years as a Snowflake data engineer.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including writing complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience with Oracle and ETL/ELT tools.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining data pipelines and data integration projects.
• Experience with Airflow for managing data pipeline workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing tasks.
• Understanding of data modeling principles and experience with data warehousing solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services, preferably Azure, related to Snowflake integration.
• Experience with version control systems (like Git) and collaboration platforms.
• Utilization of CI/CD tools to automate deployment of data pipelines and infrastructure changes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with strong analytical skills.

• Snowflake certification is a plus.
