About the position

The position involves delivering professional services with a focus on technical design and construction expertise for customer implementations and deployments. The role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and success while managing project timelines and budgets. The individual will be responsible for scoping projects, writing Statements of Work, and ensuring the timely delivery of code with minimal defects.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional services to meet technical, business, and professional standards.
  • Provide technical design and construction expertise for customer implementations and deployments.
  • Ensure Professional Services revenue is realized and projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Protect and enhance the company's service reputation.
  • Scope projects and write Statements of Work.
  • Schedule and deliver code on time with minimal defects.
  • Research and follow up on technical issues related to projects; inform, communicate, and train associates.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software consulting experience implementing enterprise software solutions for customers, including direct customer contact.
  • Knowledge and experience with the professional services project lifecycle (scoping, requirements, construction, QA/test).
  • Prior experience as a software architect with in-depth expertise in at least one of the specified domains.
  • 8+ years of experience in at least two of the following domains: J2EE (Java, JSP, Servlets), HTML/HTML5/DHTML/JavaScript, SOA Architecture, Networking, Clustering/DB Replication, Alcatel-Lucent Technologies.
  • Experience with three of the following domains: MVC frameworks, Spring framework, Unix, Microsoft’s Operating Systems, Source control systems, Scripting, Build tools.
  • Industry knowledge of Telecommunications related consumer products is a plus.
  • Understanding of Call Center operations is a plus.
  • Broadband transport technology knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is a must, additional languages are a plus.
  • University degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% internationally.
