About the position

The Senior Software Developer at Bandwidth will play a crucial role in the software development team, focusing on writing high-quality code and leading design and implementation efforts. This position requires a passion for software engineering and the ability to mentor colleagues while contributing to the advancement of products that enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code and contribute significantly to the software development process.
• Act as a senior member of an agile software development team, leading design and implementation efforts.
• Coach and mentor colleagues in software development best practices.
• Critically evaluate current projects and propose innovative ideas to improve products and customer experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Deep expertise in Java and the Java technology ecosystem.
• Experience in designing, architecting, and implementing web services and applications.
• Understanding of IP networking, web protocols, and REST.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational database systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SIP and building SIP applications.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms and scalable cloud application engineering.
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes.
