About the position

The Sr. Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) DevOps services. This role requires hands-on engineering expertise and a passion for building a Source Code Management platform that operates at scale in a multi-tenant cloud environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively in an agile environment, applying their knowledge of software architecture to enhance existing systems and contribute to the development of new solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software for OCI DevOps Source Code Management Services.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software applications and operating systems.
  • Provide technical leadership to other software developers.
  • Specify, design, and implement changes to existing software architecture.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience delivering and operating large software systems at scale.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C/C++, C#, or Golang).
  • Strong grasp of computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems).
  • Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
  • Familiarity with the UNIX operating system and related tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and networking knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
