About the position

The Sr Software Development Engineer for AWS Managed Services (AMS) will be responsible for developing and enhancing feature capabilities that facilitate the rapid adoption of AWS services by enterprise customers. This role involves working with a variety of AWS services to create new product capabilities that deliver operational outcomes efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve feature capabilities for AWS services.
• Build new product capabilities to deliver operational outcomes for customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of AWS services.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design or architecture discussions.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification.
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including testing and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
