About the position

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Device OS organization, you will lead the implementation and delivery of Device OS crash data collection and metrics. This role involves influencing and designing system architecture across various product and technology spaces, including Alexa devices and IoT devices. You will work collaboratively across teams to create innovative solutions, focusing on performance and scalability in resource-constrained environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the implementation and delivery of Device OS crash data collection and metrics.
  • Influence and design system architecture across multiple product and technology spaces.
  • Work cross-functionally to conceive and design innovative solutions.
  • Dive into ambiguous problem spaces and distill design choices, trade-offs, and priorities.
  • Share best practices and influence teams as a technical ambassador for software reuse.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
