About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Application Development Framework at Oracle, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for various applications, databases, tools, and networks. Your expertise will contribute to defining and developing software solutions that meet the evolving needs of the hospitality industry. You will provide technical leadership to other software developers, guiding them through the complexities of software development and ensuring high-quality outcomes. This position requires independent judgment and a comprehensive understanding of software engineering principles, as you will be fully competent in your area of expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-performing enterprise cloud application APIs by developing RESTful Web Services, utilizing Oracle ADF (Application Development Framework), Helidon, and GBU JET Foundations RAPID. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and domain experts to devise innovative technical solutions that effectively address challenges within the hospitality sector. Leveraging cloud-native technologies, you will build scalable, resilient, and maintainable applications while incorporating monitoring and observability capabilities. Your work will involve agile development methodologies, ensuring successful implementation and timely delivery of software solutions through collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will also promote quality by automating test cases using tools like Selenium and QMetry, offer troubleshooting expertise for existing applications, and provide technical leadership to junior engineers. Your responsibilities will include performing and enforcing technical design document and code review processes to maintain high-quality and maintainable code. Additionally, you will foster an environment of knowledge sharing through documentation and continuous learning among team members, contributing to the overall growth and development of the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions using Oracle ADF, Helidon, GBU JET Foundations RAPID, and Oracle Autonomous Database.
  • Create high-performing enterprise cloud application APIs by developing RESTful Web Services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and domain experts to develop innovative technical solutions that address hospitality industry challenges effectively.
  • Leverage cloud-native technologies to build highly scalable, resilient, and maintainable independent bounded context while incorporating monitoring and observability capabilities.
  • Utilize agile development methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and timely delivery of software solutions.
  • Promote quality by automating test cases using Selenium and QMetry.
  • Offer troubleshooting expertise for existing application maintenance.
  • Provide technical leadership and resolve roadblocks of junior engineers.
  • Perform and enforce technical design document and code review processes to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.
  • Foster an environment of knowledge sharing through documentation and continuous learning among team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in Hospitality Technology domain.
  • Practical experience and a deep understanding of ADF (Application Development Framework).
  • Development expertise utilizing RAPID UI Components.
  • Hands-on experience in developing enterprise cloud application APIs using RESTful Web Services, leveraging JSON and Java.
  • Exhibit a strong knowledge and comprehension of Oracle databases.
  • Display proficiency in cloud technologies including the ability to deploy products in OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
  • Experience in Software Agile Development methodologies.
  • Technical knowledge encompassing application operations, deployment, automation, platform architecture, database management, network, and security.
  • Have expertise and practical experience in creating secure and scalable enterprise applications, encompassing IDCS, SSO, OAuth2, and SAML.
  • Strong technical acumen, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
