About the position

The position involves developing, documenting, testing, debugging, and maintaining data and analytics engineering solutions for Paze at Early Warning. The role requires expertise in software tools and secure software engineering practices, focusing on building and maintaining data engineering solutions for both batch and stream processing, as well as advanced analytic solutions using BI and ML tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data engineering solutions for batch and stream processing.
  • Develop advanced analytic solutions using BI and ML tools.
  • Build infrastructure components required for Data and Analytics.
  • Provide continuous integration and deployment of data solutions.
  • Develop and implement tests for ensuring the quality, performance, and scalability of applications.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex production issues for Support and Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering groups to conceptualize and build new features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Science Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years direct experience in Software Engineering or related experience.
  • Two or more years' experience in the development of Data Warehouse, Big Data platforms, real-time & batch processing, and data standards.
  • Ability to influence and work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Working experience with cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Knowledge of mature engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, secure coding, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices and software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Lean, etc.).
  • Excellent written and spoken communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • Large Scale Cloud Data Lake/Warehouse transformation experience.
  • AWS Cloud experience in Streaming, Batch Data Management.
  • Redshift or other large warehouse Management experience.
  • Advanced SQL and Analytics skills.
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Quicksight.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance and Quality Controls.
  • Experience with programming languages (Python, PySpark, R).
  • Experience with Monitoring and Alerting systems (AppDynamics, Splunk, etc.).
  • AWS certification in Solution Architecture/Analytics.
  • FinTech experience.
