About the position
The Software Engineer (Framework - Solutions) position at Apple involves building and scaling data and reporting applications that communicate metrics and performance indicators with minimal latency and exceptional user experience. The role requires creative thinking and a passion for developing highly scalable applications, with a focus on end-user needs. The engineer will engage with business partners to understand strategies and solution requirements, lead discussions with development teams, and design end-to-end applications. Responsibilities
- Build various tools and features for Data and ML platforms, including data processing, insights portal, data observability, data lineage, model hub, and data visualization.
- Develop custom solutions from the ground up or customize open-source products for Apple's needs.
- Engage directly with key business partners to understand business strategies and solution needs.
- Drive and lead functional and technical discussions with development teams.
- Design and own end-to-end applications that meet business requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java and/or Python.
- Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience designing and developing scalable and performant micro-services and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Nice-to-haves
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in building and deploying cloud-native applications/products.
- Working experience with Big Data technologies and data platforms.
- Prior experience in AI/ML/Data Sciences.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks.
- Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with distributed computing technologies.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
