About the position

PetSmart LLC seeks a full-time Sr. Software Engineer Integration based in Phoenix, AZ. This role is pivotal in collaborating with various application teams to design and build sustainable solutions that meet business needs and add significant business value. The successful candidate will provide accurate and reliable business information to stakeholders and work closely with product management, architecture, and development teams to create detailed technical design and specification documents. These documents will address business needs while considering capabilities, risks, and system dependencies. The engineer will execute the build, test, and deployment of full lifecycle integration solutions, championing efforts to ensure adherence to development best practices. The role involves managing multiple concurrent projects, meeting business expectations, influencing outcomes, and maintaining stated timelines. Additionally, the engineer will mentor junior developers, helping them grow their skills in applying PetSmart's best practices and standards. Technologies and tools utilized in this position include TIBCO integration platforms such as BusinessWorks 5.x and 6.x, EMS, BW adapters, and plugins. The engineer will be responsible for building and deploying applications on both On-Prem and Cloud Platforms using products like Tibco Enterprise Administrator. The role also requires working with Pub-Sub messaging patterns, service-oriented designs and technologies (XML/JSON), as well as REST and SOAP web services. The engineer will be expected to reuse common services frameworks, implement error logging and handling, and establish automated monitoring frameworks. Furthermore, managing applications using DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery frameworks/concepts with tools like Maven, Jenkins, and GitHub is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various application teams to design and build sustainable solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of related, progressive post-baccalaureate experience.
  • One (1) year of experience with TIBCO integration platforms: BusinessWorks 5.x and 6.x, EMS, BW adapters, and plugins.
  • Experience building and deploying applications on both On-Prem & Cloud Platforms using Tibco Enterprise Administrator.
  • Experience working with Pub-Sub messaging patterns, service-oriented designs and technologies (XML/JSON), REST and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with reusing common services framework, error logging and handling, and automated monitoring framework.
  • Experience managing applications using DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery frameworks/concepts using Maven, Jenkins, and GitHub.
