The engineer will provide analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies to assist client areas and the bank in achieving their short-term business goals and long-term strategic objectives. Responsibilities include preparing and managing technical components of project plans, conferring with development and operations staff, preparing and reviewing test data, and executing detailed test plans. The engineer will also evaluate complex interrelationships among programs and prepare thorough technical and functional specifications. The position requires maintaining the efficient operation of supported applications, recommending new technologies, and adhering to the company's risk and regulatory standards. The engineer will also be involved in developing expense and capital budgets, monitoring employee performance, and may prepare annual appraisals. The role is supervised by technology management and requires the jobholder to work independently on high-level systems analysis and technical phases of development, while also managing the activities of others on various projects.
