About The Position

As a member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the applications and services that power the digital wallets ecosystem. You will work closely with product, design, and analytics teams to understand payments ecosystems that our software is enabling. Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on backend development in Java/TypeScript/Python and a willingness to explore new technologies.
• High proficiency and strong skills in Cloud technologies, object-oriented, and functional programming.
• Solid understanding of the possibilities and limitations of building robust backend applications.
• Experience in building high-scale, high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Experience in writing high-quality code, and automated tests to back up your code.
• Strong problem-solving skills, possessing the ability to work independently or collaboratively to analyze and address complex technical challenges.
• Experience with modern software development practices, version control systems, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Ability to mentor and up-level team members.
• Proven track record of collaborating with teammates in non-technical roles, such as marketing, finance, and legal.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of features, projects, modules, and services that you deliver in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and overall technical direction, advocating for best practices and innovative solutions.
• Optimize software performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks via monitoring, logging, and metrics to enhance the user experience.
• Act as a strong advocate for clean and scalable principles and practices in all areas, including coding, documentation, automation, etc.
• Be a champion of high-performing, secure, and reliable software services.
• Identify critical non-functional requirements for the work your team prioritizes (Availability, Security, Performance, Scalability, and Observability), and implement them with your team.
• Actively contribute improvements to our automated test strategies to enable speedy and reliable continuous integration.
• Guide continuous improvements to our build and deploy processes.
• Conduct formal and informal code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and adherence to clean and scalable coding principles.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and promoting a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, tools, and technologies related to client-side development, observability, and DevOps practices, and drive their adoption within the team.
• Collaborate frequently with other developers and teams to design and implement cutting-edge reliable solutions.
• Understand and apply our technical architecture to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure deployments.
• Advocate for ways to avoid and remediate technical debt continuously.
