About the position
The Sr Software Engineer Mobile/Backend role at Lowe's focuses on translating business requirements into logical program designs and delivering stable application systems and software solutions. The position involves developing and enhancing a world-class Android mobile application, implementing backend solutions, and ensuring the quality and security of applications. The engineer will collaborate with various teams in an Agile environment to facilitate the successful deployment of applications.
Responsibilities
- Develops, enhances, and designs a world-class Android mobile application using Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK.
- Implements backend solutions using Go.
- Develops unit test cases and UI unit testing with Espresso or similar frameworks; understands JSON concepts and REST APIs.
- Works with Product Owners, UI/UX designers, and other development teams; thrives in Agile and SCRUM environments.
- Develops applications on Airwatch or BES platforms; ensures security and effective communication.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in software development or a related field
- 4 years of experience in frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, or DevOps
- 4 years of experience working on projects involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
Nice-to-haves
- 4 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment
- 4 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- 4 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
- Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field
