About the position

The Sr. Software Engineer - React.js is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining technology solutions for both external and internal web applications. This role involves collaboration with product managers and engineers to create innovative technology solutions that meet business requirements, enhance user experience, and ensure reliable code through rigorous testing and documentation. The position also includes mentoring junior engineers and participating in Agile ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain technology solutions that meet business requirements.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other team members to achieve innovative, business-results driven technology solutions.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance technology solutions and user experience.
• Continuously improve and troubleshoot existing systems for seamless performance and support.
• Conduct rigorous testing and enforce code standards to ensure reliable code.
• Document solutions, contacts, and best practices thoroughly.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 5 years of experience with application development or packaged software implementations.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
• Extensive experience with React.js.
• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
• Ability to transition abstract concepts into stable and supportable software solutions.
• Ability to develop unbiased options and recommendations to technical problems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in an environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.).
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Product Delivery model.
• Previous experience with Node.js, BigQuery, CloudSQL, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Dynatrace.
• Previous experience in front end design ensuring solutions will be easily understandable by end users.
• Previous experience in the PBM / health care industry.
