About the position

Visa is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Treasury Test Engineering team within the Network Processing team. This role focuses on testing system infrastructure solutions for high visibility projects, requiring a strong background in software engineering and a passion for testing complex applications. The position involves hands-on activities such as analyzing business requirements, developing test plans, and maintaining automated test solutions across various technology stacks.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and execute manual and automated testing on various tech stacks.
  • Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle from a Test Engineering perspective, including Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Learn new technologies and become a subject matter expert on supported applications.
  • Track defects and collaborate with technical teams and the Global Treasury business team to maintain business-critical applications.
  • Create and maintain testing artifacts to ensure compliance with established processes and standards.

Requirements

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
  • Experience testing applications, RESTful services, or microservices on a modern technology stack.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in test strategy development, test planning, and test designing.
  • Familiarity with relational database design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, git, or other source control and CI/CD technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 or more years of work experience or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree.
  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness.
  • Passion for high-quality software design and engineering.
  • Ability to work well within a globally distributed team in a high-performance organization.
  • Familiarity with QA Tools for defect tracking, test case creation and storage, and test execution and reporting.
