About the position

The Senior Software Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple software development teams, including supervisors, software architects, application analysts, and developers. This role involves managing client relationships, leading engineering resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of digital products that meet business objectives. The manager will handle multi-million-dollar budgets and ensure compliance with security and operational standards while fostering a positive work environment and driving innovation within the teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple software development teams involved in software applications analysis, configuration, development, implementation, and support.
  • Oversee client relationship management for business sponsors.
  • Lead engineering resources to achieve business outcomes for digital products.
  • Manage financial planning, project operations, and resource alignment.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across development teams and business areas.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software and features for customer-facing websites.
  • Drive engagement and manage risks across teams at senior levels.
  • Develop executive-level presentations for business and IT leadership.
  • Monitor and evaluate security and compliance needs for corporate websites.
  • Plan migration of websites to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of team members.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • Master's degree in Technology or related field desired.
  • PMP or Agile certifications required.
  • 8+ years managing the development and support of high volume/high traffic applications.
  • 8+ years experience directly managing people and leaders.
  • 5+ years experience working with automated testing.
  • 3+ years managing an agile development team.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and accounting for spend and forecasts.
  • Solid understanding of IT operations and common issues.
  • Significant experience in an eCommerce environment.
  • Experience with organizational change management related to IT projects.
  • Experience with RFP processes, vendor contracts, and vendor management.
  • Experience delivering compliant and secure applications (ADA, PII, PCI, etc.).
  • Experience creating IT strategies and problem-solving.
