About the position

The Sr Software Quality Assurance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of various applications within an expanding development team. This position focuses on comprehensive testing processes, including the design and execution of test cases, automated testing, and maintaining testing standards. The analyst will also mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, all while supporting the company's mission to provide superior service to mortgage borrowers and business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Design, construct, and execute comprehensive test cases to verify feature sets and functionality.
  • Identify defects through systematic testing of projects.
  • Assist in the construction and maintenance of automated testing scripts and regression testing suites.
  • Account for non-functional requirements in test plans during testing.
  • Follow and improve enterprise best practices and testing standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for project-based test results.
  • Provide consultation on complex projects and technical solutions to project, development, and testing teams.
  • Mentor other SQA staff, including offshore team members.
  • Conduct research on emerging SQA testing products and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in achieving company performance goals and continuous training in company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent combination of education and 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience with JIRA as a project lifecycle management and defect tracking tool.
  • Experience with agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, distributed architecture, and Internet/Intranet concepts.
  • Expertise in software development testing and various testing methodologies.
  • Experience with C#, C++, .NET, MS SQL Server, Transact SQL, SSIS, ASP.NET, HTML, DHTML, VBScript, JavaScript, and XML.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MS SQL Server 2016 or higher.
  • Knowledge of Finastra Fusion Servicing Director is a plus.
