About the position

The Sr. Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications by gathering requirements, creating test plans and cases, and executing test scripts using automated technologies. This position requires a strong background in software quality assurance, particularly in testing web-based applications and creating complex SQL scripts.

Responsibilities

• Gathering requirements and analyzing them with testing in mind
• Execution and analysis of testing of user and system interface functionality
• Track issues to successful resolution
• Collect metrics to measure test progress & quality outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field is required
• 8 years' experience in Software Quality Assurance
• 8 years creating complex SQL scripts
• 8 years test case design and development
• 5 years using HP Quality Center for requirements, test cases and defect tracking
• 3 years data validation of SQL and/or Oracle databases
• Experience with QTP and/or Quality Center is desired
• Experience creating BPT (Business Process Testing) automated test scripts is desired
• Strong communication skills are essential
