About the position

The Sr Software Sales Manager is responsible for developing sales opportunities within the assigned area, managing the sales process, and meeting deadlines to achieve sales targets. This role requires significant control over commercial priorities and involves moderate autonomy in executing commercial arrangements, necessitating high levels of commercial judgment to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive key activities including strategy planning, customer relationship development, discovery assessment, solution definition, and contract negotiation until deal closure.
  • Work closely with GE Digital staff to drive growth in software license, service, and support revenue generation.
  • Establish a deep understanding of customers' business needs and create value through GE Digital's solution offerings.
  • Maintain a value-oriented approach to business partnerships with customers.
  • Demonstrate the benefits of partnering with GE Digital and how solutions deliver results.
  • Develop and maintain a sustainable commercial relationship aligned with the agreed commercial strategy.
  • Grow the sales pipeline and maintain a variety of opportunities to ensure sales goals are achieved.
  • Actively grow and maintain multi-year Account plans shared globally with various business units.
  • Ensure a professional sales experience for customers throughout the sales process, including formal meeting agendas and timely issue resolution.
  • Formulate winning proposals based on a cohesive strategy leveraging deep industry knowledge and GE Digital's product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software sales management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of commercial strategies and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively.
  • Ability to develop and maintain multi-year account plans.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure a professional sales experience.
