About the position
The Sr. Solutions Architect for Cloud Migration at Presidio plays a pivotal role in leading presales activities, including discovery, analysis, architecture design, and proposal development tailored to customer needs. This position requires direct engagement with clients to understand their current IT landscape and future goals, leveraging technical expertise and presales methodologies to recommend solutions that deliver long-term value. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and vendor partners, ensuring alignment with customer stakeholders and driving technical excellence across various solution areas.
Responsibilities
- Understand Customer Current State by driving discovery and documenting customer IT goals and initiatives.
- Lead workshops to facilitate relevant discovery and document customer current state for future architecture planning.
- Identify customer stakeholders and create technical solution approaches aligned with their success criteria.
- Analyze client requirements to determine target architecture and design solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Create and deliver compelling technical proposals, including relevant diagrams and analysis, directly to clients.
- Maintain technical excellence and evangelism across multiple solution architecture areas, participating in technical champion programs.
- Engage in client account activities to establish trust and act as a trusted advisor.
- Develop relationships with vendor partner teams and contribute to go-to-market strategies.
- Plan and execute personal growth and career development activities, seeking improvements in presales processes.
- Mentor and enable others in sales and presales, sharing knowledge and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Experience in a consulting role.
- Understanding of AWS Migration framework (MAP) and AWS funding options.
- Hands-on experience migrating workloads to AWS.
- Knowledge of Cloud adoption models and approaches.
- Expert-level knowledge in Cloud Management Platforms such as Service Now, Jira, and VMware vRealize Automation.
- Experience with Compute and Storage Architectures & Platforms, SDDC & Virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of Data Protection Platforms like Dell EMC and Veeam.
- Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Demonstrated ability to lead presentations and solution demonstrations.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Network Route & Switch design and implementation.
- Experience with Security, Compliance & Governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and Concourse.
