About the position

A Presidio Sr. Solutions Architect leads the presales discovery, analysis, architectures, designs, and proposals of relevant solutions that map to customer outcomes and requirements through direct client engagement. A Sr. SA effectively and efficiently leverages presales methodologies, technical acumen, key relationships (clients, internal Presidio stakeholders, and vendor partners), and context analysis (Industry, Customer, Technical, Sales) to position and recommend solutions that deliver long term value. In this role you will be expected to travel up to 25%. This is a remote position and can be based in any location in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Customer Current State. Proactively drive discovery and understanding of customer IT current state, goals, outcomes, and initiatives across Business, Technical, Operational, and Financial facets.
  • Technical Opportunity Leadership. Identify customer stakeholders and their individual success criteria and needs.
  • Solution Architecture, Design and Documentation. Analyze and assess client requirements and determine target architecture and design solutions.
  • Technical Excellence & Evangelism. Maintain a high level of technical excellence and evangelism across multiple relevant solution architecture and product areas.
  • Account Leadership. Actively participate in client account related activities that establish the Solution Architect as a trusted advisor.
  • Team Engagement and Enable Culture. Engage Presidio team members, actively participate in team activities, and contribute on collaboration tools.
  • Partner Relationships. Develop working relationships with vendor partner teams and peers.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation. Actively plan and execute growth and career development activities.
  • Enable Others. Contribute to the success of others in sales and presales.

Requirements

  • Experience in a consulting role
  • Experience in delivering Cloud Migration frameworks and strategies for clients
  • Experience with Application Mapping and Migration Planning tools and methodologies
  • Previous hands-on experience of migrating workloads to AWS
  • An understanding and knowledge of Cloud adoption models and approaches
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of one or more of the following: Cloud Management Platforms, Compute and Storage Architectures & Platforms, SDDC & Virtualization, Data Protection Platforms, Container platforms, Infrastructure as Code Tools.
  • Demonstrated comfort leading presentations, solution demonstrations and whiteboard sessions
  • Drive for trying new ideas and actively seek mentoring and coaching

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience with design, implementation and/or support of Network Route & Switch
  • Security, Compliance & Governance frameworks and tools
  • CI/CD pipelines and tools: Jenkins, Concourse
  • Authentication / Authorization, Directory services
  • Agile practices and frameworks: Kanban, SAFe, Scrum
  • Cloud platform certifications: Cloud Solution Architect with AWS
  • Presales experience with a strong bias for action.
  • Program management or project management experience
  • Experience driving complex multi-discipline IT projects
  • Experience and/or ability to prepare RFP/RFI response, proposals and solutions
  • Demonstrated comfort leading CIO/CTO level presentations, solution demonstrations and whiteboard sessions
  • Experience with reviewing and/or writing statements of work (SOW) and Bill of Material (BoM) for various types of projects in support of Cloud and datacenter solutions
