About the position

The Sr. Solutions Architect at Presidio is responsible for leading presales activities, including discovery, analysis, architecture design, and proposal development for cloud migration solutions. This role involves direct client engagement to understand their current IT state and future goals, leveraging technical expertise and presales methodologies to recommend solutions that deliver long-term value. The position requires a high level of technical excellence and the ability to lead workshops, create compelling proposals, and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendor partners.

Responsibilities

• Understand Customer Current State by driving discovery and documenting customer IT goals and initiatives.
• Lead technical opportunity discussions with customer stakeholders to align on success criteria and next steps.
• Analyze client requirements to determine target architecture and design solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud services.
• Create and deliver technical proposals, including relevant diagrams and analysis, directly to clients.
• Maintain technical excellence and evangelism across multiple solution areas, participating in technical champion programs.
• Engage in client account activities to establish trust and act as a trusted advisor.
• Develop relationships with vendor partners and contribute to go-to-market strategies.
• Plan and execute personal growth and career development activities, seeking improvements in presales processes.
• Mentor and enable others in sales and presales activities.

Requirements

• Experience in a consulting role.
• Knowledge of AWS Migration framework (MAP) and AWS funding options.
• Hands-on experience migrating workloads to AWS.
• Understanding of cloud adoption models and approaches.
• Expert-level knowledge in cloud management platforms, compute and storage architectures, SDDC & virtualization, data protection platforms, container platforms, and infrastructure as code tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead presentations and solution demonstrations.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of network route & switch, security compliance frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, authentication/authorization services, and agile practices.
• Cloud platform certifications, particularly as a Cloud Solution Architect with AWS.
• Experience in presales with a strong bias for action.
• Program or project management experience.
• Experience preparing RFP/RFI responses and proposals.
