About the position

The Sr. Solutions Architect for Life Sciences Commercial Solutions at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for building technical relationships with customers in the Health Care & Life Sciences (HCLS) sector. This role focuses on creating solutions to industry challenges, leveraging domain expertise in areas such as market dynamics, provider outreach, and clinical trials. The architect will also engage in best practices sharing and technical content creation, while educating others about AWS technology and HCLS trends. The position requires significant experience in commercial Life Sciences applications and involves up to 30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Build technical relationships with AWS customers in the HCLS sector.
• Create solutions to industry challenges in the Commercial space.
• Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices and technical content.
• Educate and evangelize about AWS technology and HCLS industry trends through various channels.
• Support the development and deployment of industry solutions in the life sciences value chain.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
• 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
• 3+ years of deep Commercial Life Sciences technology and/or domain expertise.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience working with end user or developer communities.
