About the position

As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, you will play a pivotal role in leading operations-based projects that enhance product adoption, usage, and issue management. This position is integral to the Tools Engineering Team within the Business Operations organization, where you will be responsible for creatively building solutions to complex business problems. In this role, you will be tasked with re-architecting Airtable bases to enable better collaboration and alignment on reporting and insights across the organization. This includes ongoing administration and data governance assistance for stakeholders involved in the technology roadmap and resource planning. You will serve on the data utilization governance committee, ensuring that data sets used in Airtable integrations are secure and compliant with privacy standards. Your responsibilities will also involve designing data integration solutions, facilitating change management, and scripting for automation where necessary. Responsibilities

  • Lead operations-based projects for product adoption, usage, and issue management.
  • Re-architect Airtable bases to enable better collaboration and reporting.
  • Provide ongoing administration and data governance assistance for technology roadmap stakeholders.
  • Serve on the data utilization governance committee for DE&ET Business Operations.
  • Design solutions for data integrations in Airtable.
  • Act as a key touchpoint for stakeholders and communicate with customers.
  • Facilitate change management for scalability and data integrity.
  • Coordinate with GIS to ensure data sets in Airtable are secure and privacy-compliant.
  • Configure user group access to data sets in Airtable.
  • Develop automation solutions between Airtable bases.
  • Align business operations Airtable solutions with the unified data model for DE&ET.
  • Script in Airtable for automation where appropriate.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer relationship management, application support, or development.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training or work experience.
  • Leadership experience with agile projects.
  • Experience coordinating large-scale, complex projects.
  • Broad technical knowledge with subject matter expertise in key areas of software engineering.
  • Expertise with Airtable scripting, custom integrations, and React scripting.
  • Experience with cloud providers and infrastructure development in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; hands-on DevOps experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Docker.
  • Expertise in working with or authoring GraphQL APIs or other server-based request frameworks.
  • Experience working full stack MERN.
  • Experience with MongoDB Atlas, including search indexes, vector embeddings, aggregation pipelines, sync, functions, and custom resolvers.
  • Experience with high-performing teams using Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
