About the position

As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, you will play a pivotal role in leading operations-based projects that enhance product adoption, usage, and issue management. This position is integral to the Tools Engineering Team within the DE&ET Business Operations organization, where you will be responsible for creatively building solutions to complex business problems. The team is dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment that values transparency and trust, ensuring that all members work together effectively to deliver high-quality solutions. You will be expected to engage in continuous learning and improvement, adapting to changes in project execution and technology use as necessary. Your responsibilities will include designing optimal solutions for data integrations in Airtable, serving as a key point of contact for stakeholders, and collaborating with engineering partners to resolve customer issues. You will also facilitate change management processes to ensure scalability and data integrity, coordinate with GIS to verify data security and privacy, and participate in the data utilization governance committee for DE&ET. This role requires innovative thinking and the ability to navigate complex situations, as well as a commitment to agile methodologies and lean principles. In this position, you will be expected to take initiative, actively pursue solutions aligned with leadership's vision, and provide strong support for their initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Lead operations-based projects for product adoption, usage, and issue management.
  • Design optimal solutions for data integrations in Airtable.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering partners to resolve customer issues.
  • Facilitate change management for scalability and data integrity.
  • Coordinate with GIS to ensure data security and privacy.
  • Participate in the data utilization governance committee for DE&ET.
  • Configure user group access to data sets in Airtable.
  • Develop automation solutions between Airtable bases.
  • Align business operations Airtable solutions with the unified data model.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer relationship management, application support, or development.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training or work experience.
  • Leadership experience with agile projects.
  • Experience coordinating large-scale, complex projects.
  • Broad technical knowledge with subject matter expertise in key areas of software engineering.
  • Expertise with Airtable scripting, custom integrations, and React scripting.
  • Experience with cloud providers and infrastructure development in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Hands-on DevOps experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Docker.
  • Expertise in working with or authoring GraphQL APIs or server-based request frameworks.
  • Experience with full stack MERN development.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas, including search indexes and aggregation pipelines.
  • Experience working with high-performing teams using Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
