About the position

The Sr. Solutions Engineering Specialist at T-Mobile plays a crucial role in supporting Specialist Business Sales by leveraging technical expertise to sell T-Mobile for Business products and services. This position involves engaging in pre-sales activities, consulting with customers to understand their business challenges, and developing tailored solutions. The SES is responsible for architecting and designing solutions, providing technical support during sales presentations, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Aligns to support Specialist sales teams for Advanced and Complex Solutions
  • Supports complex customer opportunities in sophisticated segments such as Enterprise, Strategic, State/Local Government, Education, or Federal
  • Participate in customer meetings, primarily face to face
  • Facilitate coverage analysis and review with customers
  • Discuss and assist with processing In-Building coverage requests
  • Uncover opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Understand nuances and drivers
  • Design and architect services and solutions
  • Close technical hurdles
  • Prepare and present technical customer presentations
  • Present product roadmaps
  • Present network build-out plans
  • Demonstrate wireless devices and solutions to customers
  • Provide RFP technical input
  • Strategize with Sales team to improve Regional/National sales
  • Participate in account reviews with customers
  • Own customer technical relationships
  • Support customer pilots
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in at least TWO areas of focus (SDWAN/Edge, Cellular Technology, Security, Mobile Internet/Routers, etc.)
  • Architect or develop standard and non-standard solutions to complex business challenges.

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills in Wireless, IoT, and Cloud Architectures
  • Experience in presales engineering
  • Expert-level knowledge of 5G Advanced Solutions, Private Networks, Edge/Cloud Compute, and IoT
  • Ability to facilitate wireless network coverage analysis
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and technical presentations
  • Ability to maintain technical skills and industry expertise through training and certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with T-Mobile wireless network technologies
  • Familiarity with Value-Added Solutions
  • Knowledge of product roadmaps and network build-out plans.
