About the position

The Sr. Sourcing Manager for the Professional Services Category at Visa is responsible for managing a significant portfolio of sourcing and procurement activities related to professional services. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to define and execute sourcing strategies that ensure optimal supplier selection, cost savings, and risk management. The position requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence senior executives while delivering against annual savings targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with business partners to drive sourcing engagements and influence the role of sourcing within various business teams.
  • Regularly update executives on deal status and category reporting, providing continuous updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with category teams to establish supplier strategies for professional services.
  • Deliver sourcing services including RFx execution, negotiations, and contracting reviews.
  • Define best contract structures including risk, data privacy, and commercial terms.
  • Perform market analysis to support recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and drive a pipeline of projects while maintaining an understanding of regulatory impacts.
  • Manage escalations and support sourcing teams in negotiating best-in-class deals.
  • Drive multi-vendor strategies to optimize leverage and reduce operational risk.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree.
  • 4 years of experience as a sourcing or procurement professional, preferably with a focus on professional services and software supplier relationships.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Demonstrated professional services category negotiation experience with data-driven analysis.
  • Experience supporting professional services stakeholders with a focus on customer service and relationship building.
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to operate as a team player.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree.
  • Demonstrated passion for professional services and understanding of related elements.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and influencing key vendor account executives.
