About the position

The position is responsible for developing a proactive and strategic approach to building talent pipelines through a diverse sourcing strategy. This includes coordinating various programs for leadership development and ensuring that the company attracts highly qualified and diverse candidates. The role requires delivering candidate pools through aggressive sourcing channels, which encompass passive sourcing, social media, job boards, data mining techniques, referrals, networking, associations, job fairs, and complex internet searches. In addition to sourcing candidates, the position involves managing the company internship program. This includes developing sources for interns, creating pre-screening and interview materials, presenting orientation and expectations to managers and interns, and assessing the overall experience of both parties to ensure future placements upon graduation. Building strong collaborative relationships with hiring managers is crucial, as it allows for a deeper understanding of their requirements and the development of robust recruiting plans. The role also entails managing special projects related to recruitment, such as identifying and negotiating costs for new database searches, developing mentor guidelines for hiring managers, and establishing focus groups for targeted recruitment initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the success and compliance of recruitment efforts, serving as a resource and mentor to Talent Acquisition Specialists, and ensuring that all recruiting activities adhere to company policies and relevant employment laws. Overall, this position plays a vital role in shaping the talent acquisition strategy of the organization, ensuring that the company not only meets its hiring goals but also fosters an inclusive and diverse workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a proactive and strategic approach for building talent pipelines.
  • Coordinate various programs for leadership development.
  • Deliver candidate pools through aggressive sourcing channels including passive sourcing and pipeline development.
  • Manage the company internship program by developing sources and pre-screening/interview materials.
  • Present managers and interns orientation/expectations and assess the manager and intern experience.
  • Develop and manage robust recruiting plans for attracting highly qualified and diverse candidates.
  • Stay current on all areas that may impact recruitment, such as pay and employee benefits.
  • Manage assigned special projects related to recruitment initiatives.
  • Manage the placement of graduates from the Leadership Development Program into entry-level leadership positions.
  • Develop processes for database searches, career fairs, and social media recruitment efforts and monitor for success and compliance.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to Talent Acquisition Specialists.
  • Review databases, screen resumes, provide recommendations, and facilitate the assessment and selection process.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, universities, and professional organizations.
  • Provide reporting on key recruiting metrics such as pipeline statistics and diversity goals.
  • Ensure recruiting activities follow all processes and procedures outlined by company policies and employment law.
  • Develop and provide ongoing training to hiring managers regarding recruitment and hiring processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of staffing/recruiting/selection experience.
  • Demonstrated search skills and expertise in screening active candidates for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Proficient sourcing skills with the ability to use numerous creative techniques and channels to identify quality candidates.
  • Strong internet, active, and passive candidate search skills.
  • Strong knowledge of all laws and regulations pertaining to employment selection and equal opportunity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization and external resources.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and/or applicants.
  • Good collaboration skills with the ability to work as a team member.
  • Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize search activities.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented approach.
