About the position

As a Senior Specialist in Advanced Computing for Automotive and Manufacturing at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in driving the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for AWS's Advanced Computing services. This position is part of the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Automotive-MFG team, which is dedicated to helping customers leverage AWS to solve their most complex business challenges. You will be responsible for creating and executing sales plays, collaborating with partners, and building new initiatives that drive results for our customers. Your work will involve providing critical feedback from customers to inform the product roadmap and working closely with our partner network to build an ecosystem that supports customer goals. In this role, you will lead cross-functional initiatives to expand markets and accounts, develop scalable programs to drive adoption, and identify new opportunities within your domain. You will leverage your deep expertise to understand the most pressing customer problems in your region and enable account-aligned teams to solve them effectively. Your responsibilities will include delivering monthly and quarterly business reviews, operational planning documents, and driving geographical scale through external partners. You will be instrumental in positioning AWS as the best place to run Autonomous Vehicle workloads and help customers migrate Microsoft services to the AWS cloud, ensuring a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure for innovation. The WWSO Advanced Compute team is committed to thinking big and delivering exceptional results for our customers. As a Business Development Specialist, you will create scaled GTM motions for AWS Data services, expanding adoption into new or existing customer portfolios. Your role will be crucial in helping global AWS customers adopt AWS services, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the GTM strategy and execution for Advanced Compute, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists.
  • Leverage your deep expertise to understand the most important customer problems in your region and enable account aligned teams in the field to solve them.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to expand markets/accounts, develop scalable programs to drive adoption, and identify new opportunities within your domain.
  • Develop and execute goals to drive long term growth in your geography, while meeting/exceeding revenue and non-revenue driven KPI's.
  • Bring customer data and market signals back to Worldwide teams to ensure we are prioritizing the building of the right features and services for our customers.
  • Deliver monthly/quarterly business reviews and operational planning documents for your respective tech domain and geography.
  • Drive geographical scale through external partners; Partner with cross functional teams across Solution Architecture, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, and Training and execute customer acquisition programs and strategies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience
  • 5+ years of advanced computing experience
  • Experience with the Auto/Manufacturing industry

Nice-to-haves

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams, as well as internal and external executive stakeholders.
  • Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives (e.g. CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO) and Line of Business Leaders.
  • Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
  • Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment, including developing, implementing, managing, and executing go-to-market growth initiatives and sales motions.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
