About the position

The Sr Specialist, Configuration Management at L3Harris is responsible for supporting the Configuration Management Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool in Colorado Springs. This role involves implementing configuration management principles, interfacing with team members, troubleshooting user issues, and ensuring compliance with configuration management plans and standards. The position requires a strong understanding of configuration management processes and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement hardware, software, and system configuration management principles in the PLM Tool.
  • Interface daily with configuration management and program team members.
  • Troubleshoot helpdesk calls from PLM users.
  • Report PML metrics.
  • Ensure workflows in the PLM Tool comply with approved configuration management plans and contractual requirements.
  • Generate test procedures for upgrades and patches.
  • Analyze proposed changes to determine their effect on the overall system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Knowledge of EIA-649B and MIL-STD-973 Configuration Management Principles as they apply to both Hardware and Software.
  • Experience with Microsoft products: SQL Server, .NET, and Windows Server.

Nice-to-haves

  • Reading and understanding Contract Statements of Work and Performance Work Statements.
  • Experience with Aras Innovator.
  • Experience with Adobe Pro or Nitro Pro, JIRA, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and Visio.
  • Experience with environments composed of web clients, application servers, databases, and file vaulting servers based on standard Internet protocols.
