About the position

The Sr Specialist Construction & Engineering role is responsible for managing contract resources involved in construction and digital electronics activities, particularly focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of Outside Plant (OSP) facilities. This position ensures compliance with contractual obligations, conducts quality inspections, and coordinates with various stakeholders to facilitate construction processes while addressing customer concerns and maintaining adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contract resources for construction and digital electronics activities.
  • Interpret terms and conditions of contractual obligations.
  • Write Work Orders with precise instructions.
  • Act as point of contact for construction changes or questions from contractors or internal organizations.
  • Ensure contract work complies with ATT standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Conduct quality inspections of contract work.
  • Refer safety issues to the contracting firm for handling.
  • Ensure work processes and standards conform to schedules and engineering work orders.
  • Coordinate payment of invoices and manage the change order process.
  • Monitor inventory and order materials as necessary.
  • Provide customer support and address customer concerns.
  • Work with local municipalities to follow permit specifications and meet with inspectors for inspections and acceptance.
  • Review final documents for accuracy and final billing.
  • Participate in Duty Roster rotation for out of hours/weekend management of outside plant damage restoration.
  • Supervise technicians during Duty Roster rotation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related network experience; technical degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of network-related technical experience.
