About the position
The Sr. Specialist, Contracts position at L3Harris involves providing comprehensive contracts support for Armed Overwatch at the prime contract level across multiple sites. This role requires a strong understanding of project management and contract negotiation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements while managing complex contracts and facilitating communication with U.S. Government and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and direct projects or major phases of significant project assignments.
- Administer moderate to large contracts of great complexity.
- Independently negotiate contract terminology, pricing, technical requirements, scope, and terms with customers.
- Recommend contract changes and coordinate the preparation and negotiation of change orders and supplemental agreements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements to protect the company.
- Monitor internal progress of contracts with various business units to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements.
- Prepare internal reports for management and periodic reports to customer contracting officers/buyers as required.
- Review RFQs, prepare quotes including change proposals, and perform associated negotiation activities.
- Perform risk assessments of quotes/contract terms and conditions and formulate strategies to minimize potential risks.
- Serve as the point of contact for the customer during all phases of a program.
- Generate and maintain contract documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate degree and minimum of 2 years experience.
- Active Clearance desired or ability to obtain clearance.
- Experience with FAR/DFARS.
- Experience with U.S. Government Contracting (FFP, CPFF, CPAF, T&M).
